Instructions: Practice spelling and encourage vocabulary and creativity with this fun word game. It works well with one adult and one child as well as one adult and several children. The adult playing can model good work habits and good sportmanship while helping children improve their spelling.
1. Pick a topic. (Examples - Names of sports, Things in a house, Things in the ocean)
2. Write as many words as you can think of on a sheet of paper for five minutes.
3. Children Scoring: 1 point for each word written
2 points for each word correctly spelled
3 points for each word not on anyone else's paper
Adult Scoring: 1 point for each word written.
2 points for each word not on anyone else's sheet
4. The person with the most points wins the game.
